Curaçao has a long trade history due to its unique location and its relation to Holland. There are direct flights to Curaçao from many counties and cities like Amsterdam, Miami, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Jamaica.
Throughout the history the harbor has been an important port of call for merchant ships from around the world. Today this is still the case, as the harbor of Willemstad is one of the most important ports of transshipment in the region. This makes it very easy to ship packages to and receive packages from around the world.
